Wine time....a prelude.

So we woke up, helped ourselves to the complimentary breakfast, went to Starbucks, and did laundry. Our plan was to leave after laundry and a quick visit to Marin county's best thrift store, conveniently located next to the Starbucks we chose (where David found a $1 pair of riding shorts), and go try some free wines. After looking at the map and contemplating our plan, we decided that it might be better to just get another cheap hotel and try wines all day tomorrow, instead of going in the evening and having to try to find a place to stay for the night. So that is what we did. We ate some sandwiches that we made from ingredients found at the Safeway (which included yummy oregano seasoned bread, cheese, spinach, tomato, and olives!), also next door to Starbucks, and set off for our new closer cheap hotel. We arrived in the evening, ate some dinner, wrote many of these entries catching us up to current activities, and planned our next days route that includes as many as 12 but no fewer than 6 wineries with Korbel champagne cellars being our last stop. We'll be sure to report how successful we were. On the healthcare front, my sickness has persisted and has settled down in my chest which makes for dry coughing and difficult breathing. I'm sure more productive coughing is to come. Also unfortunate is the rather predictable development that Alyssa is reporting a sore throat; the first symptom the I showed as well. Hopefully our cough drops are up for the challenge.
